With our davit and hydraulic winch equipped with 3/16″ Amsteel Blue line, we can sample all types of soft substrate.

Adjustable Grab Samplers

With two sizes of grab samplers, each with adjustable weight, sample sizes and ground penetration can be adjusted to fit your needs.

Field Analysis

Capable of taking sulphide, redox, and temperature measurements, as well as benthic screening for taxonomy

Sampling

Ocean Dynamics has two sizes of sediment grab samplers. The VanVeen Grab Sampler picks up an area of 0.1m² (12″x13″) for a total sediment volume of 15L. The maximum depth of sample is 6″ without surface interference (7″ with). The Petite Ponar Grab Sampler picks up an area of 0.025m² (6″x6″) for a total sediment volume of 2.4L.
